Swiss born visual artist Arlette Ess creates intricate designs applying her outstanding drawing skills and perfect sense of composition. Arlette works with textile and paper which complement nicely interior decor of soft furnishings and wall coverings. 

I was immediately drawn to the organic patterns of her designs. Although appreciating her  generously detailed monochrome pieces, I singled out the Koi II multicoloured series for they reminded me of traditional Japanese artwork, one of my all time favourite sources of inspiration.
