Dorlaie Design provides services for your entire interior design and decoration project from initial concept, to hands-on installation, through to completion.
1st design meeting or appointment for decoration advice
The purpose of a design consultation is to meet you in person to learn about your project, your tastes and your budget. You will talk about your style preferences and your inspiration. We will determine together the starting point of the concept of the design project. Dorlaie Design will take measures, discuss any technical constraints, and give you its first planning and decoration advice.
The design consultation can be a one off appointment for decoration advice or the initial phase of a full bespoke interior design service.
Concept study
Following our first meeting, Dorlaie Design will undertake an in-depth study of your project. This study is intended to present the project as a whole and to estimate the overall budget.
This phase consists of two stages:
presentation of design concept and analysis, creation of rendered plans and elevations for approval, several layout proposals and mood boards;
presentation of technical elements necessary for the implementation of the project: the choice of materials and equipment (including furniture and decorative accessories), detailed site plans, a precise description of works to be completed and a detailed budget estimate.
Complete project management from design to site delivery
Dorlaie Design offers a complete bespoke customer-focused interior design service and manages your entire project right through to site delivery.
In addition to aforementioned services, complete project management includes the following elements:
support in administrative procedures;
help in choosing craftsmen;
schedules of intervention for various trades;
site visits to check quality and conformity of the work;
site meetings to check the progress of the work;
installation of furniture and decorative accessories;
delivery of the completed project.
Purchasing services
The design process includes a purchasing and supply phase. Dorlaie Design offers this service as a separate or an integral part of a design package.
Purchasing services include among others:
liaising with suppliers, artisans and antique dealers;
creating invoices and/or purchase orders;
ordering a CFA - (cutting for approval)- for most fabrics, trimmings, leathers and some wall coverings;
ordering samples for soft and hard finishes;
organising and tracking delivery;
bookkeeping;
troubleshooting of order issues (when items are out of stock or discontinued for example): Dorlaie Design has access to a wide array of products from wholesale vendors and is able to assist you in finding a solution.
